TDC has been busy over recent years working with valued established Clients on a number of varied projects. These have ranged from impressive single houses to blocks of flats and large residential developments with both private and Housing Association dwellings. In addition to our high standard of working drawing packages we have also carried out numerous Energy Rating and EcoHomes assessments, enabling us to optimise insulation, energy consumption and materials under both old and new Building Regulations.

A development made up of 2 blocks of social and private dwellings totalling 37 flats. Before being converted and extended as part of this development one block was originally a framed car showroom with offices above. The top floor flats on both blocks are of a lightweight insulated render construction built off the top floor concrete slab. Energy Ratings and an EcoHomes report were prepared which proved challenging to meet both Building Control and Housing Association requirements.

This redevelopment of a tight corner site provided 24 flats of masonry construction. To take full advantage of the various levels across the site a large timber landscaped amenity deck covers the courtyard parking. On this development we produced a fully detailed working drawing package. By carrying out Energy Ratings as part of the process we were able to optimise insulation levels throughout the building.

An impressive development of 18 town houses in the grounds of a Listed convent. Each house is laid out over 4 floors and required extensive negotiation with Building Control to agree the means of escape without the addition of external fire escape stairs. Due to the complicated roof design, both the Energy Ratings and co-ordination of the structural element proved challenging to resolve.

Part of a large redevelopment and conversion of a commercial water mill site. TDC produced a full working drawing package within a fixed and very tight programme for Phase II of the site which consisted of 55 houses and flats. With a complex mixture of both traditional and contemporary design this required a great deal of careful detailing. As part of the service TDC carried out EcoHomes assessments on the shared ownership and rental dwellings within the development.
